Zoos with Big Cats in Iowa
Blank Park Zoo, located in Des Moines, is Iowa's only accredited zoo. It features over 104 animal species and 1,484 animals. The zoo has a variety of educational programs and activities, including a Behind the Scenes 'Great Cats' tour, where participants can chat with zoo keepers regarding the care of big cats and observe training sessions for the cats.
