Caspian Tiger




The CaspianTiger, also known as Turan or Hyrcanian, became extinct in the 1950's. The Caspian Tiger is similar to the Siberian Tiger, their separated by one letter of genetic code. The Caspian weighed 375-550 pounds and was nearly 10 feet in body length. The Caspian habitat was the southern shores of the Caspian Sea and Western and Eastern Asia. The main cause for their extinction was due to the Russian governments huge land reclamation program. The Russian army was ordered to exterminate all Caspian Tigers found around the Caspian Sea.
